Summer in New York City means there's a lot to do outdoors that's free—from movies in the park to waterfront concerts and, if you're feeling so inclined, stripping down to your sports bra and exercising with strangers. If you're looking to Downward Dog it outside, under the sun, and in this humidity, there are plenty of places for you to do that.
After the jump, we've rounded up nine spots for outdoor yoga, pilates, and tai chi: most are in city parks, one is in the Meatpacking District, and one—the only place on this list that's not free—is on a Midtown East roofdeck. Of course, this list isn't all encompassing, so feel free to leave your own favorite spot in the comments.
Update: We've added Union Square to the map, making it a total count of nine!
