Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Welcome to Whale Week 2013, our celebration of the city's biggest spenders.

Does your little one prefer Baby Dior over Baby Gap? Would he or she hide under their $1,000 Bugaboo stroller if you even tried to dress them in OshKosh B'Gosh? Is your child Suri Cruise? In honor of all the baby whales out there, we've rounded up eight high-end children's stores, from Gucci Kids to Edit on the Upper East Side. Click through for the map, and have the nanny add more favorites in the comments below.

The offshoot of this Upper East Side boutique carries an impressive selection of high-end kid's clothes that rivals its womenswear. Here, you'll find luxe Baby Chloé and Baby Dior dresses, Gallucci leather boots, and even Anya Hindmarch "Nappies & Wipes" bags for mom.

Il Gufo

Il Gufo's slogan is "children dressed as children," though it seems they forgot to slip the word "fancy" in there somewhere. If your upscale tot prefers cashmere play dresses rather than cotton rompers, this Madison Avenue boutique has them covered. Just be prepared to drop some bills.

Spring Flowers

Spring Flowers has been in business since the '80s, proving that there will always be a market for high-end European childrenswear. The boutique skews toward the formal side, with its extensive collection of Italian shoes and ready-to-wear from brands like Fleurisse, Léon, I Pinco Pallino, Simonetta, Dior, Il Gufo and Moncler.

Gucci Kids

Right next to Gucci's adult Fifth Avenue flagship is its haven for high-end childrenswear, which includes miniature fur coats, logo diaper bags, and adorable—albeit very pricey—leather loafers. There's also an area for children's travel items, for your eight-year-old on the go.

Little Marc

Little Marc on West 4th Street specializes shrunken-down versions of the Marc by Marc line, for the casual, downtown child. There are a few over-the-top exceptions, though, like this $295 Steiff stuffed animal.

Bonpoint

Teach your little one the art of French elegance early at Bonpoint's Bleecker Street store. Here, the city's affluent youngins stock up on elegant party dresses, chic everyday T-shirts, and stylish blazers and boy's slacks.

Estella

Regarded as one of the top boutiques for designer childrenswear, Estella will outfit your offspring in everything from an organic onesie to a puffy Moncler coat. They also carry plush Larucci baby blankets and Bon Bon play dresses.

Tuesdays Child

You can't find Young Versace at the brand's Fifth Avenue flagship, but you can find it at Tuesday's Child in Brooklyn. In addition to that, they also carry Lili Gaufette, Armani Junior, Rykiel Enfant, and plenty of other pricey, European labels.
