Here's a little-known fact about Brooklyn's baby belt: It's also a great place to take your own mom shopping. Cobble Hill and Carroll Gardens are intensely walkable neighborhoods filled with little boutiques and pleasant places to stop for coffee or brunch. Tourist moms will appreciate the area because it's a lot calmer and prettier than, say, Times Square, while Manhattan and suburban moms will get to feel like they're participating in hipster Brooklyn without having to face the withering stares of all those hungover 22-year-olds in Williamsburg.

Below, we've mapped out an itinerary for spending Mother's Day shopping with your mama. For maximum family bonding, stop at Cafe Pedlar, Bien Cuit, or Van Leeuwin for pastries on the way.
