New York’s Fashion Forecast for Friday, July 15th, 2016

Good morning — it’s Friday! Today is July 15th, 2016, and right now in Midtown Manhattan it’s about 82 degrees, according to weather.com. And despite the spate of thunderstorms yesterday that relieved the humidity a little bit, it’s still going to be pretty soupy today.

Temperatures are expected to reach 90 by early afternoon (but feel like 94 with that real-feel), without much of a breeze to cool you off. But rain isn’t expected to hit at any point, so you can give your umbrella a break.

So what should you wear today? Something that signals you’re thisclose to the weekend, and that means something fun like the billowing denim skirt we saw at South by Southwest earlier this year. Add a black crop top for simplicity, flat sandals for commutability, and sunglasses for a little mystery. The bike? That’s optional.

Now all you have to do is get through the next few hours and then you can party like it’s 2003 for the rest of the weekend:
