Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Previously, the J.Crew and Madewell sample sales were held at separate venues, but not anymore. 260 Sample Sale will host both brands's discounted womenswear beginning Monday, June 20th at 260 Fifth Avenue.
Sure, shopping both J.Crew and Madewell in one location is super convenient. But considering that each brand used to fill its own venue with merchandise in the past few go-rounds, we're wondering if there will be less of something this time around.
The men's offerings are still separate — it'll be at 43 Wooster Street in Soho — and both places will offer up to 60% off retail prices on spring and summer collections.
If previous sales are any indication, you can to find something for literally everyone. Dresses were $60, skirts and jeans were $40, trousers were $70, and tops ranged from $15 tees and $25 chambray and flannel button-ups to $40 blouses. Blazers — velvet, tweed, and otherwise — were $120, and shoes ranged from $65 to $100. And further markdowns as the sales go on are routine.
See the Dealfeed below for details on the women's sale, and note that hours for men's are the same.
