It's Weddings Week on Racked, so we took a trip down to New York City's Marriage Bureau to interview happy couples. We're spotlighting one stylish duo every day this week.
Love may be the first order of business at the New York City Marriage Bureau in lower Manhattan, but fashion doesn't fall far behind. Case in point: Kat and Ana, who tied the knot on the morning of Friday, June 3 in breezy green and white dresses from Anthropologie, which they picked out together. They carried matching bouquets of white roses ringed with greenery — a refreshing color palette for a sultry summer day.
"We met in France on a road trip through a mutual friend. I think both of us would say that we liked the other one first," Kat says.
The two started dating almost immediately after that, she adds. That was three and a half years ago.
Though Kat and Ana's City Hall wedding was no unplanned affair — Ana's family flew out from Brazil, where she's from, for the occasion — they're planning on holding a larger party down the road.
"We think we're going to do something bigger in a few years when we have a little more money," Kat says. "But the time felt right now."
