This past weekend, Governors Ball took over Randall's Island for the sixth year in a row, with headliners like The Strokes, Robyn, Haim, and The Killers. Unfortunately, Friday's weather was a bit dreary, and the show was flat-out cancelled on Sunday, but Saturday's mostly sunny skies were the perfect backdrop for staple festival gear: denim cutoff shorts, crochet bathing suits, etc. (Until it down-poured, that is.)
But amid the sea of halter tops and bikinis were some really good, fresh summer looks, accented with bra chains, braided pigtails, bandanas, and flowers not worn as crowns. Expand the gallery above to see twenty photos that sum it all up, including one photo that makes a very strong case for matching BFF denim skirts.
If you opted to sit this one out, don't worry: Panorama, a brand new festival that will also take place on Randall's Island, is coming to the city on July 22nd.
