If you missed out on the luxury linens at Frette's sample sale last week, don't fret. An equally good (if not better!) bedding sample sale is going on right now at 317 West 33rd Street. We popped into the Pratesi sale this afternoon to find an impressive selection of artsy-looking bedding — three days after it initially began.
There is still a lot of bedding, cashmere robes, decorative throw pillows, and towels to be had here. Most items have an additional 15% or 20% discount off the original sale prices, depending on what it is. The lone exception is cashmere ponchos, which remain at $295.
The biggest selection is definitely for bedding. We found king-sized duvet covers ($360—$552), top sheets an sheet sets ($578—$794), and flat sheets ($88.40). For queen-sized beds, there was an ample selection of duvet cover sets ($124.50—$705.50) and fillers ($612), quilts ($430), and sheets sets ($126-$488).
Unfortunately, there aren't very many options in terms of plain sheet sets. While white and cream sheets are in the mix, the majority of what we found was of the printed variety: artful brush stroke-looking patterns and brocades. Tough luck if you have a full bed — we didn't see anything offered for that size.
Aside from items to make your bed pretty, we found hotel robes ($102.40), silky-looking cotton pajama sets and nightgowns ($105—$150), towels ($92.65), wash cloths ($32.30), hand towels ($66.30), towel sets ($400), bath mats ($110.50), table cloths ($58.50), and decorative pillows ($80—$160). The bath wares were also in the same bold prints we spotted in the bedding section.
