Got any meetings around lunchtime? Cancel 'em. Cancel 'em all, because thanks to Uber, you can have a meeting with puppies instead. New York is one of the seven cities that's getting the #UberPuppyBowl this year, meaning that you can request a 15-minute puppy play session on Wednesday between the hours of 11am and 2pm.
The $30 fee for getting fluffy cuteness on demand goes toward the local shelters participating in the promotion; here, that's Bideawee, Humane Society of New York, and Liberty Humane Society. Plus, if you happen to fall in love with the pup that comes to your office, there's a chance that he or she will be available for adoption.
Uber is expecting a heavy demand, so be prepared to request early and request often. For more info about how to request puppy playtime and helpful tips on how to maximize your session (like making sure your building allows animals), head here.
