Today is the official start of New York Fashion Week: Men's in its new time slot on the fashion calendar. For the next three days, we're not just on the lookout for male models having the time of their lives, but also for cool menswear brands putting on events all over the city.

Public School is giving away wristbands for its menswear fall/winter 2016 show that takes place tomorrow to the first 50 people at the Whitney Museum at 5pm tonight, according to a photo posted to the brand's Instagram account. For the past two days, the account has been teasing its February 2nd show using the hashtag, #OutsideIn.

Get yours. Get to the show. Whitney Museum. 5pm. Look for the WNL. First 50. #OUTSIDEIN #PSNYFW16

A little further downtown, John Varvatos is asking, "Rock is dead?" Currently, there is a banner posing that question hanging above his storefront at 315 Bowery, the former home of CBGB, according to local blogs EV Grieve and Bowery Boogie.

We've heard that the brand is doing an "installation" of its latest collection there, but unfortunately its events won't be open to the public.

If you see or hear of any other Men's Fashion Week-related events going on around the city, let us know about them in the comments section.
