If you were able to secure a free Drybar blowout next Tuesday, January 12th, you're one of the lucky few across the country. In honor of ABC Family's Pretty Little Liars winter premiere, the salon offered to pick up the tab for customers blowouts (including both tax and tip!) on that date, alerting customers of the promotion via email early this morning. But just after noon, we received an email notifying us that all salons — that's all 12 in New York, plus the dozens more across the country — were totally booked.
Drybar's founder Ali Webb is "so sorry to disappoint those of you we weren't able to accommodate." Hopefully, the quick success of this collaboration means that there are more fun (and free!) partnerships on the horizon in 2016.
The blow-dry chain certainly isn't a stranger to strategic partnerships: In November, a 10-chair salon opened in Bloomingdale's Soho location. Other new locations include the recently-debuted Brookfield Place, and coming up in 2016 is Boerum Hill — hopefully with free blowouts on opening day once again.
