Look out, Brookfield Place and Westfield World Trade Center — Hudson Yards is coming for Manhattan's retail crown. Buried in a tenant update on WWD, we discovered that when finished, the building that'll house NYC's first Neiman Marcus will include more than 100 hundred shops, including restaurants, the biggest Equinox gym of all —complete with a hotel, fitness club, and spa — plus additional retail space on the ground level.
That additional space is expected to house a mix of high-low retail: "The Chanels, the Diors, the Ferragamos, [and] the Louis Vuittons" next to stores like H&M, Zara, and Nike.
Corporate fashion companies are also making the move to Hudson Yards, including L'Oreal and Coach, and it'll also be the future home of New York Fashion Week and other events. The mega project is expected to be completed in 2024 — we can almost picture it now, "watery" scent and all.
