The VFiles Sample Sale Is Full of Cheeky Items Starting at Just $5

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

The VFiles sample sale starts today at 11am, and hopefully, you already cancelled your plans to stock up on groceries pre-storm and come here instead because the offerings are that good. We popped into 12 Mercer Street last night to check out the discounted designer roster before it went on sale to the public to find Hood by Air, Off White, Moschino, Maison Martin Margiela, Vivienne Westwood, and more.

What we saw varies from the pretty great — a fur-lined bright orange snorkel ($100) — to the extremely random — Maison Martin Margiela feather pens ($10) — and either way, you won't be disappointed.

We'll just get this out of the way now: There is way more of the VFiles brand on sale than anything else. We didn't spot any Miu Miu or Versace, as advertised, but that doesn't make what's here any less great. The items are displayed by clothing category, with the majority of the men's stuff along the perimeter of the sale section and the women's on two racks inside. Everything is marked with a colored dot denoting the prices, and items are going as low as $5.

We found jewelry and small accessories in bins priced at $5 and $10, totes ($10), windbreakers ($50), knit hats, tons of cheeky tee-shirts ($10), Vivienne Westwood skirts ($25), Moschino pants ($100), Love Moschino dresses ($50), sweatshirts, leopard fuzzy shorts ($50), and a pair of latex pants ($25) with a matching crop top ($10). Click through the gallery above to see a few standout items from the sale.

Depending on this weekend's impeding snowstorm, you have until Sunday to shop, but the good stuff probably won't last that long. Check out the Dealfeed below for the sale's details.
