Today, designer multi-brand go-to Creatures of Comfort is kicking off its four-day sample sale at 201 Mulberry Street, and we popped into the venue just before the doors opened to the public at 2pm. Located right next to its retail location — which is also having a sale — we found plenty of comfortable, stylish pieces to dress up or down, plus a great selection of shoes.
After you enter the sale, you'll pass the cash register on the left and head down the stairs to the discounted merchandise, where you will find see several racks on the left side of the room and the shoes on the right. There are breezy blouses ($142), sweatshirts of several varieties, collared shirts ($52), pants, plenty of skirt varieties — knit ones are $40, linen is $130 and tweed is $180 — sweatpants ($121), jumpsuits ($152), and a few dresses ($75).
While Creatures of Comfort's in-house brand made up the majority of the items that we pulled off of the racks, we were able to find a few Acne pieces in the mix. We didn't really see much in terms of outerwear.
Shoes, on the other hand were plentiful in sizes 6 to 9.5, and we saw brands like Acne Studios and Robert Clergerie among the selection. Click through the gallery to see a bit of the sale's selection.
This sale is pretty straightforward in terms of pricing: All items are marked with yellow sticker and a handwritten dollar amount, save for a few shoes marked by the percentage off. As we were leaving, a line was beginning to form outside, so prepared to wait to enter if you're stopping by later today. The sale runs through Sunday; check out the Dealfeed below for more details.
