Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Did you resolve to buy better jeans this year? Upgrade the denim section of your wardrobe at indie boutique Courtshop's next sample sale, which begins this Thursday, January 21st at both the Nolita and Williamsburg shops. Customers can expect pretty straightforward pricing: Jeans will be $60, dresses will be $55, and skirts, jackets, and shorts will be $45.

The discounted offerings — which also includes tee-shirt dresses, jean jackets, high-waist skinny jeans, and sweatshirts — will be available online, too, making it especially easy to score a deal at this sale.

And since the sale will take place in actual stores, shoppers will have access to dressing rooms and a friendly staff will be on hand to help customers locate sizes — not to mention 20% off all full-priced styles elsewhere in the boutiques. The sale runs through Sunday, January 25th; check out the Dealfeed below for each location's details.
