Dannijo's Killer Sample Sale Accessories Start at $10, Vintage Starts at $40

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Now is as great a time as any to began prepping for your 2016 festival attire. Check the accessories off the list first at the the Dannijo sample sale today in the Meatpacking District. The showroom space is a bohemian dream — complete with Moroccan rugs and decked out mannequins — but get there early because they are expecting a frenzy in the somewhat small space as this sale is one day only.

Jump in feet first and shop the shoe selection in the front of the showroom. We spotted a pair of flat metallic gladiator sandals and a few different styles of heels detailed with fringe and prints, all priced at $100 — check them out in the gallery above. There's a full range of sizes in backstock, and we were also told there would be boots ($250) coming out later on. Also in this area are bins of iPhone cases ($15) and iPad covers ($15) in various Dannijo prints. There were cases for the 4/4s and 5/5s, but just a small number of cases for the 6.

Next up are the handbags, which is a mix of production items and samples. We spied the Rex evening bag in Italian leather ($250), several Viper clutches in a range of colors and textures (starting at $100), and multiple styles of the Lenox clutch ($100—$250, depending on material). There was also a wide selection of leather crossbody bags, bucket bags, and a few leather totes (starting at $100).

As expected, jewelry is the main event here. There's two tables in the center of the showroom filled with eclectic bib styles, crystal-studded chokers, and silver cuffs decked out in stones and delicate detailing. Looking for exotics? Be sure to grab a few genuine stingray cuffs in multiples colors ($25). All the pieces are priced as marked, with older samples starting at $10 and newer spring and fall pieces going up to $250.

Along the back of the room, we found two racks of vintage apparel curated by sisters Danielle and Jodie themselves. Of these pieces, there were a few Victorian maxi dresses, a plethora of embroidered denim jackets, funky mini dresses, and a couple of western-inspired vests with fringe, embroidery, and fur trim. The vintage selections started at $40, and you may want to shop here first because all of these are one of a kind (there's a fitting room nearby).

The sale ends at 8pm tonight, so find an excuse to leave work early to avoid the rush hour shoppers. Cash and credit cards are accepted, and expect to check your coat. Make sure to skim the Dealfeed below for more details on the sale.
