Westfield World Trade Center Will House NYC's Third Kit and Ace Store

Well + Good

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Go ahead and add Kit and Ace to the running list of this year's most anticipated store openings. The retailer will open its third store in the Westfield World Trade Center shopping center, adding to its Elizabeth Street and Soho pop-up locations. Westfield's website doesn't yet list the luxury clothing brand on its list of retailers, but we noticed that the clothier is looking to hire a store manager in the Financial District.

There is still no word on when the much-delayed shopping center will finally make its debut — though maybe when the Oculus, the section of the World Trade Center transportation hub that will house many of the expected 125 stores, opens in March, we'll have a more concrete opening date for a list that includes not just Kit and Ace but also AppleH&M, Tiffany & Co., and Tom Ford.

Eataly is expected to be the first venue to open, though the restaurant has declined to comment on an opening date. We'll be sure to update you as more details become available.
