Chelsea Boutique Anthom Is Opening a Second Store on the Lower East Side

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Anthom, the Chelsea boutique that opened last year inside a former auto shop, is already growing: Owner Ashley Turchin tells us that a second location for the store's collection of local indie designers and under-the-radar international brands is in the works at 9 Clinton Street.

"We are very excited for the buildout—a lot has gone into opening this store," Turchin told Racked. While we're not sure if the new boutique, tentatively slated to open September 15th, will have the same art gallery-esque vibes as the original, Anthom did tease what the roof will look like on Instagram:
