The Botkier sample sale is going on in the Garment District right now, and we were there late this afternoon in the company of only a handful of shoppers. The venue is small, but jam-packed with tons of colorful leather goods for up to 70% off retail price. Most notably, there are still plenty of samples left, most of which are under $100.
Prices for bags start at $40 and top off at $225. In the sample section, most of the bags we spotted were $85 and under, though the large sample bags were generally between $100 and $120.
In the overstock section—where most of the discount is about 50% to 60% off retail prices—we spotted the Delancey satchel for $149 (was $348), and another small satchel for $110 (was $248). The Dylan crossbody is $69 (was $168), the Gansevoort messenger bag is $199 (was $498), and the Gansevoort clutch is $149 (was $398).
Leroy satchels are $169 (was $398), while the same-named crossbody is $129 (was $298), the clutch is $129 (was $248), and the zip-around crossbody bags are $89 (was $198). We also spotted a blue Great Jones hobo bag for $199 (was $498), the Trigger satchel in three different colors for $179 (was $398) and a Trigger mini-satchel for $129 (was $298).
The Soho satchel is going for $109 (was $248), and Soho totes in ten different colors are available for $149 (was $298). The Honore convertible hobo is $69 (was $245), and finally, Logan crossbody wristlets are $59 (were $128).
A new brand, She + Lo, is also unloading some of their inventory here. Small bags were priced at $79, medium bags are $99, and larger bags are $129. Samples were $120 and under, and we spotted many marked at $80.
There will definitely be restocking in some of the Botkier styles throughout the week, so there likely won't be a run on any particular handbag in case you're not able to make it until Wednesday or Thursday. The sale closes today at 6 pm but runs through Friday—see the Dealfeed below for the full hours and address. —Hsini
