Alert your preppiest friend: New York City is down one Burberry store. West Side Rag reports that the outpost on Columbus Avenue between 67th and 68th Streets has shuttered, and that there's a sign on the door telling shoppers to visit one of their other locations. Lest you assume the closure is merely temporary, it's also been taken off the company's website, and any calls to the store go straight to a message that says "This store location is no longer open for business."
Fear not, however—there's still plenty of trenchcoats and plaid at the city's four other Burberry stores, not including the Macy's Herald Square shop-in-shop.
