There's a Two Hour Wait Outside the Loeffler Randall Sample Sale

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

If you're planning on hitting up the Loeffler Randall sale this afternoon, your office better have a generous lunch break policy. Racked New York intern Daise Bedolla stopped by 170 Wooster Street shortly after 11am, where she reported that the line was 100 people deep. The person closest to the door had been waiting for two and a half hours.

But! There's a way to take advantage of the wait. Earlier today, a tipster wrote in to say that shoppers in line for Loeffler Randall were partnering with their neighbors, and checking out the Reed Krakoff sample sale across the street in shifts (one shops, the other holds her spot, and then they switch). Smart ladies.
