Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
NOHO—Your favorite surf shop–slash–cafe–slash–secret backyard is popping up for the first time ever—this Friday through Sunday, Saturdays NYC will be setting up just a few blocks from their Nolita location, at The Hole gallery (312 Bowery), selling the latest issue of their beautiful Saturdays magazine, as well as select items by the brand.
LOWER EAST SIDE—Bring spring's 70's trend into your apartment this weekend with a macramé workshop—artist Renata Abbade will teach participants how to craft either a plant hanger or a wall weaving in just four hours. Naturally, there'll be wine and snacks, too. Sign ups for either class (Saturday or Sunday from 2pm to 6pm at Forsyth Studio) can be made via email too renataabbade@gmail.com, and cost $95.
