Wind your way over to the west side of Manhattan today to check out massive discounts on top-end brands. Owen, nestled in the Meatpacking District at 809 Washington Street, has 50%—70% off contemporary favorites like Jonathan Simkhai, Acne, Mother and more. The sale opens at 11am this morning, but we checked out the stock during set-up last night to find many seasonal items that'll work for the (hopefully) warmer months to come.
There are five racks of women's styles positioned in the back left-hand corner of the store, as well as a table with shoes, sweaters and handbags beyond that. Prices are discounted on two tiers, with a red sticker indicating 70% off the marked price, and a green sticker for 50% off.
If you're hoping to snag some items for under $100, go for a Band of Outsiders pullover ($97), the printed IRO tee ($88) on the rack against the back wall, or Mother jeans ($59) and trainer pants ($67). There were only a few sizes for each, which was generally the rule at this sale—most dresses we saw are sizes 0—6, and pants generally run 25—29.
Some good reductions to grab include a white Acne jacket for $225 (was $750), a Cushnie et Ochs silk jumpsuit for $495 (was $1,650), and a pink IRO moto jacket for $647 (was $1,295). For the LBD-thirsty, there's an Ohne Titel pleated dress for $165 and a Tanya Taylor dress for $312. For floral options ("Florals for spring? Groundbreaking."), find a Suno dress for $297, a Wayne dress for $250 (was $832), and a Veronica Beard pullover crop top for $127.
For accessories, there are several purses of varying sizes on hand by M2Malletier, ranging from $797 to $947. There are only two styles of shoes by Acne, metallic boots ($190) in sizes 36 to 41, and Kleate sandals ($220) in three colors, sizes 36 to 40. If you're looking for swimsuits, there are a few on offer for $132.
For men, there is much, much less to shop—we found just two items, a Tim Coppens crew neck sweater for $142 (was $475) and a Lou Dalton short sleeve $163 (was $545). We were unable to confirm whether more men's merchandise would be displayed in the coming days.
This isn't one of those sales where you need to worry about damaged or stained items or a dressing room limit. Regarding those sizes, be sure to ask a sales associate if there's a particular style on the rack that's not in your size—at the last warehouse sale, several items were available in a multitude of sizes. See the full sale hours below.
Thursday, April 9th through Sunday, April 12th. Daily 11am—8pm.
