Three Williamsburg boutiques have banded together to make the upcoming L train weekend shutdown suck less. Gothamist reports that Milly & Earl (351 Graham Avenue), Slapback (490 Metropolitan Avenue) and Antoinette (119 Grand Street) will offer $2.75—the cost of a single subway ride, thanks to recent fare hikes—off every transaction for this weekend only.

Sure, you could spend that $2.75 on a shuttle bus, bemoaning your subway-less weekend, or you could just stay put in Williamsburg and spend that same amount on some retro-looking pieces and unique jewelry from one of these three boutiques. Let's see: Unnecessary shuttle bus drama, or discounts on purchases? We're leaning towards the latter.
