Tribeca Is Losing a Local Business, But Perhaps Only Temporarily

Mini-chain Petticoat Lane, a regular on our list of the city's best lingerie stores, is closing its store at 149 Reade Street in June, according to signage spotted by Tribeca Citizen over the weekend. With stores on the Upper East Side and Westchester County, Petticoat Lane is known for its solid selection of Wolford tights, lacy bras and panties that are fancier than your everyday wear, and Longchamp's Le Pliage bag in a rainbow of colors.

But no need to preemptively mourn the downtown store: Owner Jennifer Urquhart writes that Petticoat Lane Tribeca will be searching for another spot in—you guessed it—Tribeca.
