Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
NEW YORK—Since the city's taking a bit of a breather this weekend to celebrate Easter and Passover, so are many sample sale hosts. But there are a couple good sales to hit up this weekend, including the multi-brand extravaganza at Chelsea Market with discounted Free People, J Brand, and Bonobos that's running through Sunday; and the extended BaubleBar sample sale that's still cheap and stocked with plenty of bright necklaces closes on Saturday. ABC Carpet's blowout rug sale in the Flatiron District comes to a close tomorrow, too. Check these three out this weekend if you're in town, and check out the updated calendar for everything else coming up this month (we've only just begun).
CHELSEA—The Manhattan Vintage show returns to the Metropolitan Pavilion next weekend, this time with a special exhibit devoted to textile designer Alfred Shaheen, who's credited with popularizing the Hawaiian shirt. To get your tickets to see this and shop nearly 100 vendors with clothes, jewelry, bags, home goods and more dating back decades or more on April 10th and 11th, head here.
HERALD SQUARE—Also poised for a comeback? The Juice Crawl. The next one takes place in honor of Earth Day on Saturday, April 18th, starting out from the Urban Outfitters Herald Square store and including beverages from House of Juice, Juice Press, Pulp, and Pure Green. UO's fitness line, Without Walls, is also sponsoring a workout with Tone House to kick things off. To grab your $45 ticket (or $40 if you come with a friend), head here.
