Conspiracy Theory: Kanye West Will Only Smile for Ralph Lauren

Kanye West does not smile. He does not smile for Super Bowl selfies. He does not smile for New Zealand-born pop star Lorde. He does not even smile for our national treasure, Amy Schumer. He sometimes smiles when he thinks about not smiling.

A recent Instagram by Kim Kardashian, however, which features him smiling next to Ralph Lauren, gives us a rare peek into the enigmatic facial expressions of Kanye West:

The Instagram also gives us fodder for the greatest conspiracy theory of our time: Kanye West will only smile for Ralph Lauren.

Think about it: The last time we saw Kanye West smiling was with NYC's first lady Chirlane McCray. Was it because Kanye West is a fan of Chirlane McCray? No—it was because they were both at Ralph Lauren's runway show.

What does it mean? What doesn't it mean? This is Kanye West we're talking about. Everything is everything. Think about it.
