Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
The club studio's goin' up on a Tuesday. We're headed to Y7 Studio's newest location in Flatiron on April 28th for its famed Drake-themed vinyasa yoga class with instructor Dina Smirnova, and you're invited to join us—for free!
Here's the nitty-gritty: The hour-long candlelit session takes place in a room that's heated to about 85 degrees, and it kicks off at 8:15pm on the fourth floor of 25 West 23rd Street. Students should dress in comfortable athletic gear, like leggings and a loose tank top. Bring along your own mat, towel, and water bottle, or buy/rent each of those items for a couple bucks apiece. You'll be able to store your stuff in cubbies while we flow, and though there aren't showers available at this location, you can freshen up in the changing rooms in case you feel like hitting up a real club right afterwards.
Want in on the action? We've got 18 spots to fill. Send an email here with the subject line "Racked Fit Club" and your name in the body of the email. We're accepting participants on a first-come, first-serve basis—and sorry, we can't accept reservations for friends; each person who wants to attend must send a separate email. Anyone who sends an email after the class is filled will be put on the wait list, and we'll notify you if space frees up.
Update: If you're reading this it's too late—the class is full. Thanks to everyone who signed up!
