The Eberjey and Milly Sample Sale is Stacked...For Small Sizes

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

The Eberjey and Milly sample sale kicked off at Clothingline this morning, with lots of dresses, swimwear, and lingerie in sizes small and 4, with some medium and large options scattered throughout.

When you walk in on the second floor, check your jacket and find the Eberjey offerings on the front left side of the showroom. Underwear is $10, bras are $20, camis and tops are $25 and cardigans are $35. There are plenty of shorts ($20) and comfy pants ($25). The favorites: chemises, teddys, dresses, tunics, and rompers, are all $35 each. Robes and swim coverups are $50, the most expensive of the Eberjey samples. Swimwear is $25 per piece, with plenty of cute styles (we guesstimate for C cup sizes and under).

Everything that doesn’t have a size tag is a small, but a lot of the Eberjey tops run bigger so we recommend trying things on anyway (there's a limit of 10 items per customer in the dressing rooms). If you know you’re a medium or large, head to the right side for bins marked with medium and large samples, including robes, panties, and teddys. Pajama sets ($50) run from small to large, on a separate rack on the left side of the room.

In the Milly section, the best options are the dresses (most of which are a size 4, unless otherwise marked). There are plenty of bright colors and patterns, as well as some black and white styles, all at $65. Tops, shorts, and skirts (all a little scarce) are $40, and pants are $45. Blazers (there are a few good styles left) are $99.

Head to the back of the room for Milly’s handbags, all under $100. There are a good number of clutches for $45, some great small and medium leather handbags for $65, and big leather bags for $85.

Save for a few clothespins on one or two samples and some minor creasing, all of the Milly pieces are in good shape. Eberjey samples are a little more worn-looking in some cases (a few robes have pilling), but most teddys and chemises seem to be in good condition. Get in soon as the sale ends tomorrow at 7 PM; most items will be tried on a number of times, and those medium and large bins were being swarmed by customers.

Tuesday, April 21st through Wednesday, April 22nd. Daily 11am—7pm. Clothingline, 261 W 36th St between Seventh and Eighth Aves, 2nd floor (no phone).
