Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Backpacks and evenly distributing weight among your shoulders are back, making now the perfect time to hit up Haerfest's big sale that kicked off in Nolita this weekend. A Sample Sally correspondent checked out the goods and found a wide variety of discounts. For example, the AE26 Mini Capsule Backpack was originally $295 (and still is online) and the G25 Arch Backpack was $395, but both are $195 here. The sold-out-online skinny G13 Shell Backpack is also available here—the sale price wasn't specified, but it retails for $375.
Outside of backpacks, the stock includes small goods like document and laptop holders and shoes, but the report says that the accessory that reminds you most of elementary school (albeit now in a slick city facade) is what really shines. Check out photos of the stock at the link below, or see it for yourself through Sunday—sale hours are below.
Through Sunday, April 26th. Daily 11am—8pm.
