Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Now won't have to deplete your bank account for good hair day after good hair day (after good hair day, after good hair day...). BeautyBooked—the app that lets you make salon appointments based on your desired time and location—has just launched BeautyPass, an unlimited monthly subscription to a single beauty service for a flat fee, and they're starting with $99 blowouts.
They're not the first to jump on the unlimited-beauty bandwagon: Rouge New York unveiled a similar package for makeup application last fall. And at this price point, anyone who hits up a Drybar or Blo more than twice a month would be saving money. Hey, we could get used to hitting up a salon chair instead of a bar stool every Friday after work.
Be on the lookout for BeautyBooked to introduce unlimited manicures ($49) and unlimited spray tans ($99) in the coming months.
