It's hard to say if there's ever been a pair as unlikely as French fashion editor and leather pencil skirt aficionado Carine Roitfeld and Japanese purveyor of puffer vests Uniqlo, but whatever the reason behind the duo's just-announced collab, we're into it. WWD reports that the brand's Carine Roitfeld Collection will launch this fall online and at its worldwide flagships.
So far there's no word of whether the line will convey Roitfeld's whole sexy-smudged-eyeliner-and-stilettos vibe (or how much it'll cost), but it will include over 40 pieces, from lingerie to coats. According to Roitfeld herself, she "started from the idea of clothes that I would want to wear myself, and developed this into clothes that anyone would want to wear, a woman's ideal of clothes that make her feel transformed when she wears them." Sounds like a hard yes.
