Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Rent the Runway’s sample sale at 260 Fifth Avenue is still running through Sunday, so we stopped in this morning to check the status of the stock on hand. They've upped the additional discount to 50% off for gowns and 40% off for cocktail dresses, and for shoppers with a vigilant eye, there are still plenty of great dresses to grab in the sale's twilight.

There are now more gowns than dresses out on the floor, but still plenty to choose from in sizes 0 through 16 for both categories. Many of the strapless gowns that we saw on Monday are still available. You'll need to survey everything even more carefully before purchasing: We spotted a few very distressed items from BCBG ($52) and Nicole Miller ($26), which both had stains and snags. Some pieces that are still in good condition? A turquoise Issa gown for $240 (originally $1,995), a black-and-white Theia gown for $80 (originally $695), and a black Blumarine gown for $158 (originally $1,970).

The dresses were generally in better condition than the gowns, which is likely why their stock was hit harder this week, but you'll still need to tread carefully. There are torn sleeves, rips in the waistlines, and worn straps on more than a few items. But we still found some good choices with little or no damage, like an Antonio Berardi dress for $113 (was $1,630), a Daniel Vosovic dress for $58 (was $725), and a great Zac Posen dress for $348 (originally $4,990). There are still many Badgely Mischka and Hervé Leger items scattered throughout.

The ten-item limit for the fitting area still applies, but the sale was much less crowded this morning than during Monday’s madness (read: no lines!). Be prepared for Saturday, though, when the weather is supposed to be better and office dwellers go on the hunt for wedding season. See the remaining sale hours below.

Sale continues tonight through 7pm; Sat 10am—7pm, Sun 10am—3pm.
