After leaving the decade-old company he founded, Jeffrey Rudes of J Brand fame is moving onto his own menswear brand, eponymously (sort of) titled Jeffrey Rüdes. WWD reports that while it'll be headquartered in Los Angeles and designed in Italy, the first store will open in Soho on July 1st, coinciding with the e-commerce launch.
Located at 57 Greene Street, the two-story, 5,800-square-foot store definitely won't be an echo of the denim brand he's known for: To start, the line will feature just three styles of jeans in two finishes. The focus instead will be on pieces like blazers and outerwear in shearling and leather. "I feel the one article in a man's wardrobe that's like that is the jacket, where the man's personality really comes out," Rudes told the paper. "Women get emotional about their jeans."
