Update: The Baublebar sample sale has been extended through Saturday, April 4th.
If you are a female and have any manner of social media account, you've probably seen ads for BaubleBar's sale, going on this week. We got a good look at the offerings at 260 Sample Sale, and there are loads of gems, so to speak, for you to properly accent your spring and summer wardrobe. It's the brand's first sale outside of its headquarters, so the options are plentiful. Here's the low-down:
If you're out for earrings, take a left when you enter the shop (once you hand over your coat and bag at the entrance). Styles range from small studs to funky bigger pieces, all priced from $5 to $20. Along the back left of the room are the bracelets (also between $5 and $20). Choose from bangles and bedazzled cuffs, as well as elastic and adjustable samples.
Rings are along the back end, ranging in size (they're not labeled but you are welcome to try them on). There are plenty of midi and thin bands, as well as stackable designs in gold and silver. Prices are between $5 and $12.
The necklaces are the main event, lined up on tables in the center of the room The cheapest options ($10) are at the back, and escalate from there—with $12, $15, $20, and $25 samples. The tables are full of colorful stones, jewels and metal linked styles—most rest at the collarbone or chest but there are a few longer designs as well as the occasional choker. Small mirrors are placed on a few tables so you can see if that chunky necklace is too much or just right.
If you're a more minimalist type, check on the back right where simple chain necklaces in gold, silver, and rose gold all run around $10. You'll have to do a little more sorting and sifting (they're all wrapped in plastic packaging), but why not stay occupied while waiting in line to pay? The thin chains are perfect for layering, if you feel like picking up a few.
Grab a plastic tray at the entryway if you know you'll have more than a handful of styles your jewelry haul. They'll be replenishing the stock every evening, and most every item is in perfectly good shape. Although you won't have to worry about it being bare bones at the end of the week, best to get there sooner to find the more popular styles that will be snagged right off the bat. And don't forget to mention Racked at checkout—the first 200 shoppers to do so will get a free gift with purchase.
Tuesday, March 31 through Friday, April 3rd Saturday, April 4th. Tue 1pm—8pm; Wed—Thu 10am—8pm; Fri 10am—7pm, Sat 10am—6pm.
