Mercer Street is further solidifying its status as downtown's mini Fifth Avenue with Dolce & Gabbana. The Italian brand just signed for their first full-line Soho boutique at 155 Mercer Street, according to property owners Thor Equities. The address is a former firehouse that encompasses 15,000 square feet over four floors and has 50 feet of street frontage—so expect some killer window displays in our future.
This location marks the luxury label's third standalone store in New York City and its re-entrance into downtown (they previously had a D&G boutique on West Broadway). An opening date has yet to be projected, but we're expecting a mass celebration for the new flagship when it does.
They're entering a pretty stacked block here, with Balenciaga stores on either side of the street, plus Versace and Vera Wang boutiques. On the affordable side, the & Other Stories store has an entrance on the southern end of the block, near Prince Street.
