Armani's Beauty Pro Wants to Give You Makeup Tips

Your roundup of New York City's fashion and sales events you need to know right now.

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

SOHO—Reminder: Local leather masters Veda know how to work with other fabrics, too, and they want to remind you of that with 20% off all non-leather pieces—dresses, tops, pants, skirts, and non-leather jackets included—tomorrow through Sunday. Plan on shopping in bed instead of heading to 19 Mercer Street in tomorrow's snowstorm? Use the code SPRINGHASSPRUNG on their website.

MIDTOWN—New season, new face. Start spring off right with Armani Beauty makeup artist Tim Quinn, who will be showing Saks Fifth Avenue customers how to translate runway makeup looks into your non-modeling life. Get a makeup consultation from Quinn, who will demonstrate how to use the brand's new Eye Tint shadows that were inspired by this season's collection, and get a complimentary blowdry styling as well. It's all taking place at the third floor Armani boutique between 10am and 6pm tomorrow.

WILLIAMSBURG—Tomorrow evening, head to the Picture Farm Gallery (338 Wythe Avenue) to celebrate fashion photographer Lee O'Connor's first book, Birds of Paradise. From 7pm to 10pm, check out large-scale displays of some of the images while enjoying Reyka Vodka drinks (from an open bar!) and listening to tunes from DJ Krunk Pony.
