Cult Perfume Brand Byredo to Open Wooster Street Shop This Spring

Back in February, Ben Gorham—the pro-basketball-player-turned-perfumer behind cult fragrance brand Byredo—teased a New York City store. And now Byredo's first U.S. shop has a rough opening date (May) and an address (62 Wooster Street).

"I think you really have the possibility to evoke emotion when you try a fragrance," Gorham, whose line currently includes 22 scents, told WWD. "I found the inspirations were endless." So endless that he's branching out into leather goods (like a $1900 top-handle bag) and beauty products (no details on those yet).

For now, you can buy Byredo at Barneys, where the perfumes retail for $145 to $220.
