Iris Apfel, the 93-year-old White House interior designer turned fashion icon, is the subject of the last documentary by Albert Maysles—the filmmaker behind Grey Gardens and Gimme Shelter, who passed away at the age of 88 last week.

In the three-minute trailer for the film, which hits New York City theaters on April 29th, the nonagenarian combs flea markets, pals around with Alexander Wang, shows off her impressive costume jewelry collection, and spouts wisdom like,  "I didn't give a damn about going to the party or being at the party, it was getting dressed for the party. And there's truth and poetry in that." Watch the clip, below.

Magnolia Pictures will release IRIS in New York on April 29, 2015, Los Angeles May 1, 2015 and additional cities throughout May.
