If you're like us, you like your sex parties with lots of rules and shaky connections to the British monarchy—which is why we were delighted upon seeing a sex party that fits this exact description profiled in the Post this morning. Killing Kittens, a ticketed, London-based orgy run by Emma Sayle, a friend of Kate Middleton's, is making its NYC debut this weekend, and you could get in—what, were you planning on just catching up on House of Cards this Saturday?
"It's like ‘Eyes Wide Shut,' but realistic," one partygoer describes. The event, which will take place at a secret (of course) location in the Flatiron District on Saturday night, costs $50 per woman and $150 per couple to enter—solo dudes are not allowed.
That's not the only rule of Killing Kittens: First, you must arrive wearing complete cocktail attire and a mask. "We have members who want a certain look and expect a certain standard, so that's what we need to provide," Sayle explains, offering this anecdote as justification:
"It's not a case of everyone being supermodel quality. It's nice-looking people taking care of themselves," she continues. "For example, we might get someone who is a size 14 or 16 US size and they're massive, and they send us a photo and they might be in some bondage gear, and you just say, ‘No, that's not a pretty sight.'"
The horror!
Another rule: Men aren't permitted to approach women. "It's a place where females can try whatever they want to try. And if they want to get involved in couples, or want to try it with another girl or a group of girls...it's about an experience," says Sayle.
Should you purchase a ticket to this weekend's event (and, y'know, actually make it inside), you'll be sure to meet some interesting folks—in the nine years it's been running, Killing Kittens has accrued 10,000 regular partygoers, including "A-list actors, British aristocrats, Formula One owners and moneyed married couples looking to spice up their sex lives." Or better yet, let us know how it went.
