Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Right now, the Museum of Arts and Design is all about what you're doing with that hair of yours. The Salon: Hair in Art and Design is a series of Thursday evening talks that'll explore topics like natural hair and unisex styling and their implications on self- and cultural identity. It's all taking place in the Artists Studios, which will be transformed into a working salon with demonstrations from artists and stylists on hair techniques.

The events, which begin next Thursday, February 12th, are free with pay-what-you-wish admission to the museum. For more information, head here.
