We could be living in a world without insane sneaker drop lines, thanks to a new shoe reservation app from Adidas—a reality that makes us somehow nostalgic. Confirmed, which launched yesterday, works by alerting users through push notifications when Adidas sneakers arrive at a store near them.
The first test subject? The forthcoming Adidas x Kanye West collaboration, which includes clothing and footwear and as of yet, has no official release date (NYFW, perhaps?)
As much fun (read: potentially dangerous) as those lines outside of shoe stores can be, "The hype sneakers market is broken," Forbes writes, "because it is confusing to navigate, leads to long lines at brick and mortar stores and is prone to fraud."
The app's only available within NYC for now, so your best bet while waiting out the Kanye collab is to simply roam the streets of Manhattan, waiting for that glorious push notification to appear on your phone.
