Apple keeps on showing its love for the outer boroughs—first the Williamsburg store is confirmed, and now the tech giant is headed to Elmhurst, our sister site Curbed NY reports. Sources say a store is already under construction on the second floor of the Queens Center mall and is expected to open by the end of the year.
As the brand's largest retail outlet within a New York mall, it's projected to bring in even higher revenues than flagship stores like Fifth Avenue. It's also their third new store coming to New York City: in addition to Brooklyn (where construction should finish in the spring, though there's no opening date set), there's been serious rumors swirling about an Upper East Side store for months now.
