Yet another reason Sunset Park could become the city's next huge shopping destination: Alexis Bittar is moving its manufacturing from Dumbo to Industry City, Crain's New York reports. While the company will keep its sales and marketing headquarters in Dumbo, it'll use 17,000 square feet in the Sunset Park complex as its main production facility.
Alexis Bittar will be the third major fashion brand to move into the development, following Steven Alan and BaubleBar, with more likely to follow—three's a trend, after all. Plus, there'll be even more retail options slated for the nearby Liberty View Industrial Plaza, anchored by a giant Bed Bath & Beyond and also the home of the Manufacturing Innovation Hub for Apparel, Textiles & Wearable Tech, a design incubator for young talent.
