International Playground Is Shuttering Its Stanton Street Store to Focus on Soho

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

International Playground has only had its new Soho location for a few months now, but the indie boutique's owners are already betting that it's all they need. Tomorrow is the last day of business for the original 13 Stanton Street location, which originally opened in 2010. Stop in to bid farewell to co-owners Virginia Craddock's and Johnny Pizzolato's original retail home, where they'll be posting up for friends and fans all day long.

Shoppers can still find all the independent labels they love on Broome Street, like Soulland, 7115 by Szeki, and Chromat—and for a limited time, they can find them for less. When you mention Racked at checkout, you'll get 15% off any item from a spring/summer 2015 collection.
