New York University has seen its fair share of student starlets (the Olsen twins, Dakota Fanning, Team USA's Nastia Liukin), but perhaps not one that's stood so far above the crowd—literally—until now. People magazine reports that 6'1" supermodel and social media star Karlie Kloss is so devoted to her upcoming matriculation at NYU's Gallatin School of Individualized Study, which she originally discussed in the March Vogue she covered with BFF Taylor Swift, that she's giving up her coveted Victoria's Secret gig.
"Karlie is stepping down from her Angel duties," an unnamed source told the magazine. "She's got a busy but exciting year ahead and the decision came down to timing."
But she's certainly not butting a halt to all of her modeling duties. "I'll still be working full-time," Kloss told Vogue. "I'm incredibly ambitious and have lots of goals within my career that I'm not slowing down on anytime soon."
So she's not giving up her L'Oréal ambassador role—or her membership at ModelFit, for that matter—but that still leaves a major gap in the Angels line-up to be filled (Kendall Jenner, anyone?) Kloss should also be leaving some time to hobnob with her fellow famous students around the Washington Square campus, so long as she doesn't mind having some Secret Service detail around.
