Less than a year and a half after Kate Spade Saturday opened its sunny yellow Soho storefront, its parent company announced that it would be shuttering all Saturday shops (as well as Jack Spade's menswear stores). And now, three weeks after the news first broke, the first sign that Kate Spade Saturday is packing up has arrived in the form of a 40% store-wide discount.
Sales aren't unusual for the brand, but markdowns this deep—and on everything, including already discounted items—are. Of course, this won't be the last you'll see of the label—it's set to become a sub-brand under Kate Spade New York. But if you've had your eye on one of the Saturday's popular "A" satchels, now would be the time to strike.
