Want to work your way up to high-flying stunts on a hoop or the pole? You're gonna need some muscles first. Learn the basic strength-training moves with us in a free Core Aerial class at Chelsea's Body & Pole this Saturday, February 21st at 2pm.
While the 60-minute session does place an emphasis on your midsection (as the name not-so-subtly suggests), you'll get a whole-body workout using elements of Pilates and ballet in a floor routine, along with resistance bands and aerial hammocks. You'll be doing the same workouts the pros do that help develop the strength for climbs, inversions, tricks, and mid-air transitions.
Update: The class is now full—thanks to everyone who signed up!
