Valentine's Day Shopping Events, From Presents to Puppies

MIDTOWN—If you're on the corner of 53rd Street and Park Avenue between 11am and 6pm tomorrow, you'll find the Negative Underwear Love Stream, a mobile pop-up shop. They'll be there helping busy office workers pick up last-minute Valentine's Day necessities like underwear sets, cards, candy, and flowers—free coffee and treats will be available while you browse, too. The shop will be heading down to the West Village and the Meatpacking District tomorrow (check here for locations) with the added bonus of Vensette hair and make-up touchups.

MEATPACKING DISTRICT, LOWER EAST SIDE—Human companions are overrated. Meet your new Valentine from the Best Friends Animal Society at 22 Little West 12th Street, either at tomorrow evening's (alcohol-free) "yappy hour" between 5pm and 8pm or Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 7pm—it's only $10 for a furry friend that's already spayed/neutured and microchipped. Sean Casey Animal Rescue is also hosting an adoption event at Café Grumpy (13 Essex Street) on Saturday between 12pm and 5pm.

WILLIAMSBURG—Sick of Valentine's Day already? Run away from it—literally—with the Brooklyn Running Co.'s 5K pub run on Saturday, starting from the store (222 Grand Street) at 7:30pm. $20 gets you drinks plus the chance to win prizes from the store and event sponsor Saucony, like a pair of shoes. MANHATTAN—Several of Thomas Pink's New York City stores (including those at Madison Avenue, Sixth Avenue, and Columbus Circle) are offering complimentary monogramming on all purchases through February 14th. Sip on a glass of pink champagne while your necktie of choice is personalized.

FORT GREENE—Tonight, Dana Bronfman hosts a pre-Valentine's Day sale between 6pm and 9pm at 64B Lafayette Avenue. Stop in for deals on handcrafted jewelry and a glass of bubbly for browsing.
