Whether you consider your look to be playful or refined, there is something for everyone at the Council of Fashion Designers of America's Designer Incubator sample sale. We popped into the collective's holiday sale at 209 West 38th Street just after the doors opened at 12pm today to see the pieces you'll be able to grab before these labels hit the big time.
After you take the elevator up to the third floor and step into the hallway, you'll find that brands like Kaelen, Isa Tapia, A Peace Treaty, Katie Ermilio, Lucio Castro, Misha Nonoo, Nomia, and Orley have set up discounted merchandise in front of their respective showrooms. At Isa Tapia, there were boxes and boxes of sample shoes arranged by size for $25. We also spotted heels ($75), flats ($50), ankle boots ($150), sneakers ($100), and sandals ($50).
Prices were also straightforward at Kaelen, where we found tops ($50), bottoms ($60), dresses ($75), knits ($50), and outerwear ($100). We noticed current-season items on the sale racks and couldn't stop petting one bright orange mohair jacket ($100) in particular.
At Orley, shoppers can choose from brightly colored silk ties ($45), leather and knit print gloves ($145), hats ($65), and cashmere scarves for $95. A Peace Treaty's offerings included silk scarves currently sold at Barneys ($65), jewelry (we saw a statement necklace for $150), caftans priced by length from $35 to $125, and cashmere scarves. Nomia, Lucio Castro, Misha Nonoo, and Katie Emilio also had impressive discounts — click through the gallery above to see our favorite pieces.
You don't have much time to shop the large selection of merchandise, since the sale ends tomorrow; check out the Dealfeed below for the exact details.
